Whether you have brick, concrete or stone, Precision Concrete Cutting can provide you with a cleanly drilled hole to suit your requirements.
Our cores range in size from:
6mm (to drill tiles for bathroom fixtures etc.)
16mm up to 250mm
300mm, 350mm, 400mm & 450mm are also available are upon request.
Hydraulic drilling is also available.
Hand sawing is a very efficient way of cutting depths of up to 250mm, for example floors, walls, plumbing trenches, boat ramps, doorway arches.
Hydraulic, Petrol & Electric:
Ring saw up to 260mm (refer Ring Saw below)
Hydraulic saw up to 250mm.
Petrol saw up to 150mm.
Electric saw up to 125mm.
The ring saw is a specialised hand held saw in both petrol & hydraulic. The blade is driven from the edge instead of the center, therefore giving a cutting depth of 260mm from a 350mm blade. In comparison a hand saw with a 350mm blade will give a cut of 125mm deep. The ring saw is effective in reducing over cut on corners due to the blade centre being within the cut.
The ring saw can be used on thinner materials (e.g.: 150mm tilt panel) to reduce over-cut.
Hydraulic or Petrol: Both saws up to 260mm.
Wall sawing consists of either using a hand held saw or a track mounted machine to cut square openings in either brick or concrete walls (tilt panel).
The road saw is ideal for open areas & horizontal surfaces such as concrete slabs & bitumen roads. It can also be used for expansion joints, slab removal, cutting plumbing trenches & access to water leaks.
Our machine is capable of cutting to a depth of 380mm.
Soft-cutting or Soff-cutting is an early entry dry cutting procedure. Soft-cutting is performed with a specialized saw and blade for cutting "green concrete" within 2-4 hours after the concrete slab has been finished.
The control joints are 30mm deep and are more effective in controlling cracking than traditional methods used after the concrete has set. Soft-cutting green concrete also minimizes chipping and staining of coloured concrete.
Hydraulic cutting or drilling is generally used in confined spaces, eliminating fumes from the operator area. As the motor is outside, there are virtually no emissions within the work area.
For cores sized over 300mm in diameter, the hydraulic drill is our preferred method as it is more powerful than the electric drill.
Hydraulic hand sawing: Hydraulic hand saw up to 240mm.
Hydraulic ring sawing: Hydraulic ring saw up to 260mm.
Hydraulic core drilling: Hydraulic drilling up to 450mm dia
